NAVIGATING SOUND, SOBRIETY, AND STARTING OVER AT 43
jwadi
I’m JWADI. I’m 45 and a recovering alcoholic who decided to get back into music after pissing away a decade of my life. I’m a singer, a songwriter, a rapper and a producer. I don’t remember much from my younger days, so if we’ve met and I don’t remember you, don’t take it personal.
Way back in the day I was the singer in another band, and I wrote a record called “One More Night” that debuted at No. 1 on the Reggae Billboard Charts. That was in 2012. I’m not a reggae artist.
These days I’m just trying to navigate the roads of sound, sobriety and starting over again in my 40’s. It’s not easy. It never is. I’m just trying to make the best and most honest music I can.
I’m currently documenting my journey, in and out of the studio, as I work on my third solo album, “EVEN IF IT KILLS ME,” set to come out in October. My newest single, “DAY OFF,” drops on 6.26.26. Follow along.
